The annual Fair
and Show
There
can’t be many churches which do not have a fete during the summer. Tardebigge
Church holds its Annual Fair on the first Saturday in August in our splendid
country churchyard. It’s a great family event now in its 25th year.
Typical activities for children include miniature steam train rides, bouncy castles and a coconut shy, while others can browse at the bookstall or look for bargains among the plants, cakes, jewellery or other items on offer.
There are places to sit and enjoy a cup of tea and watch the entertainment. Not to be missed is the Flower and Vegetable Show with Domestic, Cookery and Junior sections. There is no entrance fee, merit certificates and cups are awarded, the latter held for a year. Much of the produce is auctioned off afterwards.
